October 2014
Seattle Humane is kicking off the fall season with our fourth annual Free Pet Adoption Blitz next weekend, Oct. 17-19. Adoption fees will be waived on every dog, cat and critter in our care. Our adoption blitz begins next Friday at 11 a.m. so line up early and bring your pre-adoption questionnaire (forms found here).
Please note: All dogs must have a collar and leash, and all cats must have a secure carrier when leaving the shelter. Please bring these items with you or plan to purchase them at Seattle Humane.
Last year, a record-breaking 359 pets were adopted during our Adoption Blitz weekend. Adopt a new furry friend and help the shelter reach a new life-saving record! Visit seattlehumane.org for a sneak peek at the hundreds of adoptable pets at Seattle Humane.

Meg Lawrenz has a deep love for all animals, particularly dogs, but she would probably love cats just as much if she wasn’t so allergic! She has an extremely hard time resisting the urge to pet kitties, especially on visits to see her grandma.
Meg originally started knitting to make really cool quilt swatches, but when her project took a turn for the worse, she turned it into cat toys for her grandmother’s three cats. Knitting cat toys quickly became a hobby for Meg, and she soon created more than enough toys for her grandmother’s cats so she donated the extra toys, along with the money she earned from a lemonade stand this summer, to Seattle Humane. She plans to continue making cat toys to donate to the shelter cats and kittens!
