FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: August 12, 2013
The Seattle Humane Society's 8th annual cat and kitten adoption extravaganza was a record-breaking success, placing a total of 183 homeless, abandoned and surrendered cats into loving homes of their own! Catapalooza brought together nine local adoption organizations and rescue groups for cat adoptions, prize drawings, children’s activities, and fun cat-related demonstrations including a special educational presentation by the Cat Daddy himself, Jackson Galaxy! A big thank you to members of the community who welcomed furry friends into their families this weekend. If you couldn't make it to the event, stop by Seattle Humane in Bellevue to meet the hundreds of cats, dogs, and other critters still waiting for families of their own. We’re open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thu.-Sat. and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sun.-Wed. To see our adoptable pets online, go to seattlehumane.org.
Seattle Humane thanks event sponsors The Safeway Foundation, Michele's Fight for Human & Animal Rights, Susan Mallery, Xtreme Consulting Group Inc., Mud Bay and Handicat Ramps.
