FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: July 1, 2016
Hosted
by TASTE at the Seattle Art Museum’s Olympic Sculpture Park, the
second annual Fancy Dog event will be held on Sunday, July 10, from 11
a.m. - 2 p.m. to help raise funds and awareness for Seattle Humane’s Pet
Project.
Festivities include kid- and dog-friendly events like a Bow
Wow photo booth, DIY costume station, contest and prizes for "fanciest
dog," a K-9 fun zone play area, tail waggin' treats, and gourmet "fancy
dogs" (hot dogs) by TASTE and Dante’s Inferno Dogs -- as well as an
array of vegetarian and vegan options. Local artisanal ice cream and
vegan popsicles will also be available by Pop Up Bike Pops and Six
Strawberries Artisan Ice-Pops.
VIPs (Very Important Pooches) will gain access to the CityDog
Muttmixer Lounge, hosted by Seattle's own CityDog Magazine, which will
include mingling with fellow dog lovers, enjoying live music, a
complimentary adult beverage, a VIP swag bag, and more.
Ticket sales
start at $25, and include three tokens for a combination of food or
non-alcoholic beverages. Kids under 10 and pets are free. Proceeds and
donations raised will be used to help provide necessary veterinary care
and food for the furry companions of pet owners who are battling HIV/AIDS or cancer.
