FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: December 8, 2017
Come warm Seattle Humane's new home on Saturday, December 9th and celebrate the new shelter you helped build that will serve 10,000 orphaned pets every year.
The organization, established in 1897, embarked on a $30 million campaign to build a 57,000 sq-ft. shelter to replace its aging facility. After 7 years of planning and fundraising, and nearly 2 years of construction, Seattle Humane is prepared to introduce their fully operating space for the first time. Don't miss the historical moment when Seattle Humane staff, volunteers, and community supporters gather to watch Seattle Humane alumnus Capellini, a very special one-eyed Jack Russel Terrier, untie the ribbon and welcome visitors to the fully finished shelter.
