Dear Seattle Humane,

When we first saw Smokee on seattlehumane.org, we thought, "This little dog needs a home… and, a haircut!" We called the shelter immediately to find out if Smokee was still available and were told he had two "holds" on him. That meant we were third in line for the option to meet and adopt Smokee. Our hopes for bringing him home fell. Two days later, we received the call that neither of the other two candidates adopted Smokee, and it was our turn to meet the little guy. My husband and I both fell head over heels for Smokee immediately and brought him home. We re-named our little guy, Porkie. He loves his new name! He is a smart, feisty and funny little pup who brings us so much joy.

Thank you Seattle Humane for taking good care of Porkie (a.k.a Smokee) until we could bring him home.
