**The stunt is complete but there is still time to donate to Seattle Humane through my page if you're interested in helping our life saving work! I've also included a short video of the stunt for your viewing pleasure**
This summer, I’ll be going down the side of a 40-story building in an effort to raise money for Seattle Humane. I will also personally match the first $2500 donated through my page by July 21st.
If I reach my $3500 goal, I will do it in a Banana costume. Nothing can stop a fusion of Darren and Banana from making it down that building.
I'm told this is safer than crossing the street in downtown Seattle. Based on personal experience with crossing Seattle streets, I'm inclined to believe that.
Your next question is likely “Darren, why not just offer to cross a downtown Seattle street in an effort to raise money for Seattle Humane?”
Horizontal locomotion is so overdone. For a fundraiser of this scale, nothing less than vertical locomotion is acceptable.
Like, 493 feet of vertical locomotion. As only the side of a very tall building can provide. Sorry, 493 foot mountains. You're just too sloped for this one.
It’s for cats. Also dogs. Some smaller animals too…like…hamsters?
I think I saw a guinea pig or two the other day too. I’m doing it for those cute little troopers as well.
The money you donate goes directly to helping provide all of them with life-saving care, medical attention, and shelter. Did I already mention I'll match the first $2500 donated personally? I did? Sorry! I can be such a broken record sometimes!
On top of adoptions, the money will also help Seattle Humane provide a TON of other programs like pet-loss counseling, and a food bank to help low-income individuals continue to support their companion animals.
About Seattle Humane
Every year, Seattle Humane welcomes thousands of abandoned puppies, kittens, dogs, cats and other companion animals into their shelter. With your generous support, they are able to find homes for these animals with loving people just like you. The extra time, care, and attention they give each shelter guest makes them the leader in animal welfare in our community.
I am proud to be a supporter of such a great organization and hope you will join me in my efforts to save lives in our community!
